As a reward, we’re giving you the chance to win a return trip for two adults and a car, worth £186. One lucky winner will be sailing with us from Gills Bay in the North East of Scotland to St Margaret’s Hope on the island of South Ronaldsay in Orkney. You can then drive across the iconic Churchill Barriers, past the famous Italian Chapel and on to mainland Orkney.

By entering this prize draw, entrants agree to follow these terms and conditions.

Promotion period:

The prize draw will run from 23 June 2025 until 12.00pm BST on 3 September 2025. All entries must be submitted by the deadline, entries submitted after this deadline will not be accepted into the draw.

Eligibility:

  • No purchase is necessary
  • Only one entry per person
  • Pentland Ferries reserves the right to not accept entries which are suspected to have been made in an unorthodox way, for example the use of bots to enter the competition multiple times.

How to enter:

To enter the prize draw entrants should have filled out the form on the page above. Once they have signed up using this form they will be eligible to be entered into the prize draw.

Winner selection:

  • One winner will be selected at random from the list of correct entries.
  • The winner will be notified that they have won by 3 September 2025. At this time we will announce on social that the winner has been contacted, but not name who they are.
  • Pentland Ferries will make reasonable efforts to inform the winner via email that they have won the prize draw. If the winner has not responded by 9am on 8 September 2025 or declines the prize for whatever reason, another winner will be selected at random.
  • Once the winner has confirmed their prize we will announce this on social media.

The prize:

  • The prize consists of a return trip from Gills Bay to St Margaret’s Hope, for two adults with a car.
  • No cash alternative is available.
  • The trip must be used by 3 September 2026 and is subject to availability, is non-transferable or refundable.
  • It would be possible to upgrade the sailing at the expense of the winner to include additional passengers.
