STORES PERSON

Permanent Position

Minimum 40 hours per week  

We are looking for an experienced Stores Person to join our team in St Margarets Hope.

You will provide support to the Technical and Marines teams by means of

  • Requisition of spare parts and equipment for company’s shoreside assets, storerooms and workshops including the daily organising thereof.
  • The daily organising, maintaining and monitoring of the company’s spare parts inventory system.
  • Ensuring all purchasing documentation including PO’s are accounted for and processed accordingly.
  • Liaising with the vessels chief engineer and chief officer for the procurement of stores, spare parts and any applicable shoreside assistance when required.
  • Stock Control/Oversee all company stores and spares
  • Arrange deliveries and collections
  • Inspection and notification of deliveries
  • Forklift Operator
  • Delivery/pick up of company/ships spares from/to vessels

You’ll need:

  • Full UK driving Licence
  • Based in Orkney
  • Strong written and verbal communication and organisational skills
  • Competent with IT packages – Microsoft, email, planned maintenance systems
  • Forklift ticket (can be provided)
  • Marine Engineering knowledge an advantage
