CUSTOMER SERVICES - GILLS BAY - 28/03/2017

We are currently recruiting for a Customer Service Assistant to work in our busy Gills Bay booking office on a permanent basis. The regular hours of work are Monday and Tuesday 2.30pm - 6.30pm (7.30pm finish in July and August). It is essential that applicants are also available to cover holidays as and when required.


The main duties involve making bookings for customers over the telephone and in person, preparing information for sailings and general office duties. Applicants must be responsible and reliable, accurate with information, have good communication skills and be approachable and friendly. Experience with computers is essential.

SEASONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSISTANT - 24/03/2017

We are currently recruiting for a Customer Service Assistant to work in our busy St Margaret's Hope booking office from May to September. Applicants may also be required to take on the Check-In Assistant role to cover holidays. The main duties will involve making bookings for customers over the telephone and in person, preparing information for sailings and general office duties. Applicants must be responsible and reliable, accurate with information, have good communication skills and be approachable and friendly. Experience with computers is essential. Hours available are 20-30 per week and must include weekends. Position would suit someone living in the local area as the hours may include split shifts. SUMMER STEWARD - 21/02/2017

Pentland Ferries are currently looking for a Summer Steward to work on their busy passenger ro-ro service on the Pentland Firth Route onboard the MV Pentalina between May and August.

Our crews work on an even time rota of 2 weeks on 2 weeks off. Wages will be paid at current Company rates. (Details can be provided to suitable candidates on request).

Applicants require to be trained to STCW 95 standard (PST, PSSR, First-Aid and Fire-Fighting) and hold a valid medical certificate (ENG1). It would be an advantage to hold a Food Hygiene Certificate but not essential as training will be given.

Overnight accommodation cannot be provided and own transport would be preferred.
